The Bishop’s Palace and Wells Cathedral have announced the launch of a new joint day ticket.
Visitors to Wells will now be able to access the two major city attractions on a single ticket, resulting in a significant discount compared to separate admissions.
This marks the first time such a combination ticket has been offered.
Wells Cathedral, inspiring pilgrims for nearly 850 years, is the earliest English Cathedral built in the gothic style, boasting attributes such as one of the oldest medieval clock faces in the world.
Adjacent to the cathedral, The Bishop’s Palace, home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for 800 years, continues to charm visitors with its stunning medieval palace and 14 acres of RHS partner gardens.
Merryn Kidd, CEO of The Bishop’s Palace said: "We are delighted to be able to offer this joint ticket with the Cathedral to visitors to Wells.
"We know from our own feedback that it’s something our visitors have wanted for some time".
The acting dean of Wells, Anne Gell, added: "We’re very pleased to be working with The Bishop’s Palace to bring the story of Wells to life for our visitors."
Adult tickets are priced at £20 and can be booked online or directly at both attractions.
