A POPULAR ten-day festival of visual and performing arts will return for a twentieth time next weekend.
The 10 Parishes Festival will commence in Wiveliscombe and surrounding areas from Saturday September 9.
Village halls, barns, cafés, churches, and even a pub skittle alley will feature collective exhibitions put together by talented local artists.
Just some of the works on display and available to purchase include paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, glass, jewellery, and photography.
Many artists' work at the festival takes inspiration from Somerset's nature and countryside.
As well as artwork and photography, the unique ten-day festival will host talks and events throughout.
One of the interesting speakers at the 10 Parishes Festival is Dan Holmes, who left his job in the motor trade to become a farmer and start his own herd of longhorn cattle.
The Tannahill Weavers will also be performing at St Andrews Church in Wiveliscombe, and Bethany Askew will host a talk about poetry written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge during his three years in Somerset.
The much anticipated Wiveliscombe Market Day will be held on Sunday September 10, as will the popular carnival procession - this year's theme being The Magic Garden.
