RAISING money for research into a men's cancer charity turned out to be a load of pants in Taunton on Friday.

A group of friends went on a pub crawl wearing their pants outside their trousers - and Taunton MP Jeremy Browne joined in the fun.

It was all part of the Big Stride sponsored walk event nationwide in aid of Everyman, a charity for prostate and testicular cancers.

Event organiser Tanya Kennedy said: "My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer about a year ago - fortunately it was early enough and hopefully he'll be OK.

"We did the pub crawl to raise money for Eveyrman and also to raise awareness among men."

The crawl ha so far raised more than £1,200 - and Tanya also has some celebrity pants signed by UB40, Somerset County Cricket Club and Maxi Priest to auction.
