Matthews magic wins Oake event

OAKE Manor held their annual Gardner Cup medal on Saturday and a well-supported event saw R. Matthews win the Division One title after carding a respectable nett 65.

He was followed by A. Barclay (70), Paul Spackman (70), D. Jewell (71) and Brian Thomas (72).

The Division Two winner, also with 65, was Stan Rea.

The runner-up was Paul Hawkins (67), who was followed by S. Clayton (69), E. Hood (69) and Ken Southern (70).
